i wish the ext ant pluged in on the side of radio.. but i bought a ant and adapter and it works just fine. being in atlanta I have no issues geting the weather channel. and i love the search option on it... I really havent taken it on the hwy but have no issues with it nor have a range on it yet. but i sure it will be just fine. it will pick up cb talk off hwy 20 and that is about 4 miles from here. i pluged in a ext speaker and that works well too.. I don't plan to use batteries on it so the write ups on batteries not working not an issue. so i am pleased.
