My first epilator!! Good for the price and does it's job. Keep skin moisturized and exfoliated after to reduce bumps, just as you would for any hair removal. Not to sure about upper lip hair (owwwie lol but I guess that's to be expected due to sensitivity of the area), but for chin, does pretty good. Next....lower legs (and if that goes well, upper and mayyyyybe bikini area.....a little nervous bout that one haha.....Ahhh the price we women pay to get keep the hair at bay ;) Keep them AAA batteries on hand if you plan on legs and face. Think that job will require a wider (more tweezing) epilator or you can bet on setting aside extra extra time on your hairless endeavor. But seriously, for face, not bad!! (Don't forget, your hair grows in different directions sometimes, and also pulling the skin taught carefully can help get the buggers that don't want to budge).IMPORTANT NOTE: I noticed someone wrote it bruised her upper lip and chin so she threw it in the garbage. Something tells me she took off the guard and went to town. Leave the guard ON!! At least until you know what your doing and have really good eyes. I don't think you are suppose to even take it off. I imagine it could grab skin. I didn't have that problem, left the guard on and have no pesky hormonal hairs.Read full review

It took awhile for me to try it because it takes AAA batteries. Nothing else in my house takes AAA batteries. So I had to go out and get some. Finally tried it this morning and when I tried to put the batteries in the back wouldn't go on. So I left it off and used it without the back and the motor of the item allows the tweezers to work very well and the size of the item allows for you to get into smaller spaces like between your eyebrows. I do like it and would recommend it, I wish I could attach a photo to show why the back won't fit with the batteries inside. There's a plastic obstructive piece on the enclosure that will harm the batteries if I try to put it on.

As I got older I realised a need for daily hair skin and nails formula but, it also brought excess facial hair. Yuck! This Emjoi was a great price and really did a great job. Left my skin red afterwards for a few hours. Don't advise using it right before you have to go out.. Def recommend. And will continue using.

Well, honestly I would have rated it 3.5 stars if I could but decided to bump it up rather than down. It does remove some hairs which I can see when I'm cleaning up the shaver but they've been the longer finer ones. It doesn't do a great job on the short coarse bristly ones (like whiskers) so I've had to tweeze out hairs a few times since I received it. Still, it's not at all painful (very comfortable even when it's plucking out a hair -- just feels like it's gone over a little bump or something) and my jawline does feel nice and smooth so I'm still glad that I bought it.

I thought this would be better than the Emjoi Slim I already have. I was under the impression it was a newer version, if so it should be made to pull the facial hair stronger. Takes too long to finish the job. Plus side, it doesn't hurt.
