Well written. Not your standard Buffy the Vampire Slayer paperback. Uses examples from actual Buffy shows and then expands on the theme using more traditional college level philosophy. Not always easy reading since college level philosophy can be less than "fun", but, does make some good solid points. I didn't need to read this book to know that Buffy was about the strength and empowerment of woman. But, it's nice to see other minds also thinking along the same lines. Much is often made about Chris Carter being agnostic or a nonbeliever. But, most people "get" the inherent spiritualism of Buffy. Everything from good vs. evil is explored.
