Solution works very well if you use distilled water. Works with tap water too but leaves spots. Update: the instruction states 40:1, just make it 20 oz of water to 1 oz of solution, thats a little more solution that what the instruction calls for but it turns up perfect combo.

I was excited to use this to save some time cleaning, I was disappointed. I tried a treated barrel and ran the sonic cleaner with this solution for 24 minutes with zero carbon removed, the tank was still clean. Nothing. I also tried a stainless muzzle brake and did get some results, just not what I was expecting. Mostly milky colored water. I followed the instructions, tried on a couple other parts and just not even close to the home made solution I use now. For as much as this cost, I was seriously disappointed. With my experience, I suggest not using this. waste of money.

While your cleaner doesn't NEED this to work, it works better with it. Before you flinch at the price, you use one ounce of solution to each 40 oz of water. So unless your cleaner is the size of a bathtub, this bottle will last a long time. And you can use the same batch of water for multiple cleanings.. Plus, it makes the parts easier to dry when they come out, and leaves a lubricant film on them. Caked on carbon and gunk still needs to scrubbed though
