This light came well packaged. Battery was partially charged so I gpt to try it out before I put it on the charger. It has 5 modes. High, medium, low, strobe and SOS. You press the on switch to turn it on and it goes to high by default. From there you can press the button again to get to medium, and again to get to low, and so on and so on. And this is where people complain, if you want to turn it off at anytime through the cycle you just hold the power button down for one second. I read quite a few reviews of people criticizing the "hold to power off" feature. I'm here to tell you its fine. Its a compact and bright light. Is it durable? Time will tell

This flashlight is a good buy, there are a ton of Chinese rechargeable lights on the market hands down this Bolder LC40 in the way to go. It's super bright and is light weight the only issue I found was that after prolonged use the light does get hot. As for durability and performance I am very satisfied with the it.
