It's a cheap chinese condenser mic that has suprisingly good sound. If you're looking for an entry level mic to begin getting into more pro-level tech, you could start with worse products.

I bought this mic after hearing a sound sample on youtube. I have used several much more expensive mics by a very well known manufacturer on my Amateur radios over the past couple of years and the NEEWER NW-800 sounded better on the air then the much more expensive mics. The NW-800 has a slight boost in level around 2.5KHz which makes spoken words easier to understand than it's competition. I would highly recommend this mic to anyone doing podcasts, ham radio or anywhere good articulation is needed. I'll probably buy one or two more just to have around. As of this writing, NEEWER does not have the microphones listed on their website but are very prompt at answer emails about them.

Works perfectly very clear crisp sound quality, Item arrived in perfect condition sooner than estimated. The microphone was one step up from the one I bought for recording acoustic guitar, I wasn't certain that there would be noticable quality difference , however, this mic we are using for vocal arranging and the clarity and sensitivity make it perfect for this application.
