Pro - really waterproof Con - no music shuffle, no way to know how much charge you have left. Watch it - some idiot had to approach me while I was swimming to ask me a stupid question that could have waited, I had to pull the headphones off to find out what he wanted, then put them back on and a little water got in and cut the sound down.

It is my first try at listening to podcasts while swimming, so I don't have a basis for comparison yet. It got high reviews, so I tried it. But I have found it almost impossible to keep a tight seal on the earphones and therefore the sound gets muted quite a bit while swimming hard. Music might work better, but podcasts are difficult to hear unless I'm not moving as much.

I use an MP3 player while endurance cycling, and went though 3-4 SanDisk Clip Sports before buying the SYRYN. The Clip Sports kept failing when water or sweat would get inside and easily destroy the circuitry. While the SYRYN doesn't have all the functions of a Clip Sport (radio, external memory card, etc.), it does stand up very well under all conditions and is far better for my needs.

I was never able to get it to load music. When plugging it in to the computer it said Drive Not Recognized. I called the company and they said they could not help because I bought it used. :(

I have used moderately priced waterproof MP3 and cheap w.p. MP3. Cheap ones have failed quickly. Moderates last longer. These work very well and haven't failed so far.
