Great value, basically the same cost as good tieable boot laces that grab welll and can take a beating. That's exactly what you get with these. The brand name lock laces don't slip, and even the expensive ones that came in my keen work sneakers slipped loose. Got a set in my timberland industrial work sneakers and a set in my thorogood mock toes now too with the additional sets.

Velcro is the most practical show, but doesn't have wide appeal due to how "lame" it looks. However, it's very much loved by the elderly, who care little for fashion over practicality. The same is true of Lock Laces. They are logical and exceptional, but they don't really look cool. Even tucking the finished results under the laces just doesn't bode well for aesthetics, and this is just my frank opinion. I put them on my running shoes, but that's the only pair that's going to have them. If you want to make your shoes easier to put on without sacrificing a traditional shoelace look, I highly recommend Xpand No Tie Shoelaces, which are slightly cheaper, and better looking. Other than missing the bow, they look exactly like regular laces. Again, all my opinion, I'm far from being the fashion police or a fashionable person, but shoes are the one area I care about.
