I was able to find a lightly used headlamp and am satisfied with it in just about every sense at the price point. I was looking for more options in a headlamp. The color changing and variety of lighting settings gives me a ton of versatility when using the lamp for different tasks. Maybe a bit big and controls take some getting used to but I don’t mind

No trouble at all so far, going to take some getting used to as it has so many features compared to my cheap one. Happy with it though, super bright!

Lots of features and seems like a good headlamp. I took it to Sequoia and it did fairly well. I appreciate the dimming and multi-color light features. As many reviewers have said, it has a learning curve, but once you get it, there should be no problem using the headlamp.

Solid plastic case, opens easily without tools for battery access (4 AAA) but fastens securely. High quality elastic band. Simple controls with positive switch engagement--no swiping a touch bar that may or may not work. Light is very bright at full power but dims easily; a tap on a second switch on the side selects between full power and your preferred brightness setting. RGB LEDs work great, nice to have the option. Will strobe in all colors, but strobe intensity pre-set and not adjustable (does not strobe at highest light output level). Very good light, might be too heavy for ultralight hikers.

Primarily, I use this headlamp when I am cycling with my dog at night and the light provides adequate illumination so I don't run into any surprises. I have used Diamond Storm headlamps for years and the boost in lumens is helpful. The light is pretty straight forward and easy to use, I am 67 and not gadget savy.
