I received this micrometer the day after I ordered. This micrometer is slightly shorted than one I ordered from the same company a year earlier. In addition the thimble is slightly smaller and the ratchet is like a spline instead of being knurled. The movement is smooth and the ratchet provides the right amount of force. It seems to measure 25mm fairly correctly although I don't have an expensive standard gauge.
