Finally a book written for people seeking for hands-on learning. All the books I’ve read in the past wasted my time with endless background about wifi security and hacking techniques that were shortly explained. This book is totally different. The attacking scenarios are explained using clear to understand and detailed step by step guides. Excellent training approach! I totally recommend this book.

Great book for beginners and professionals! The chapters are well organized and contain many practical examples, screenshots and technical details. I managed to penetrate my company’s wireless network in few hours and my boss was excited!!! I can’t wait to read the rest of it and launch different attacks. Great job, reasonable price.

Seems good for someone who wants to jump in the deep end of things and not get too lost. Has step by step instructions, and even if the techniques don't work any more, it will give you a good understanding about penetration testing and such.

Fantastic book! Never thought that hacking wireless networks would be that easy. Not only I managed to hack my flat mate’s network but I learned how these techniques really work. Easy to read with lot of detailed guides and figures. So much fun in a reasonable price!

I received my book a few days ago and I am very impressed. It is well written, with easy to understand hacking examples. The technical details are well explained, so that beginners can understand the underlying concepts. This book should be on every security professional or enthusiast's bookshelf.

As an Offensive Security Wireless Practitioner, this book holds no secrets for me. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I was pretty well disappointed in this one. Sure, it details thirty garden-variety attacks of wireless networks, but these are all basic attacks -- the enterprise section seemed rushed and not-thought-out, and it was very short as well.

For anyone that doesn't understand (basic) Linux commands, aircrack-ng, reaver, pyrit, some Wireshark basics and hex editors: this book might be for you. Although, I would likely recommend Vivek Ramachandran's superb "Backtrack 5 Wireless Penetration Testing" (or whatever it's called) in lieu of this book. Almost the exact same concepts are covered, but Ramachandran's book will challenge the user to learn better than this one. This is essentially a consolidation of the Wi-Fu course wares in one place, which is nice if you don't have the time/money. However, true enlightenment comes at a cost.

Very few commands work.

This is probably one of the best books ever written about wireless hacking. I really loved it! The book contains the required background and thirty attack scenarios. Every scenario is explained with details and well designed figures. I totally recommend this book to everyone interested in wireless security.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Good Read !!!

Very well written structured book. The simple instructions provided make hacking wi-fi look easy for anyone wishing to understand the methods used. Without too much technical jargon bogging things down, the book opens with explanations of the structure of wi-fi security in terms that even a novice can understand. It then continues to explain in step by step instructions, by using a simple home PC on how to gain access to some of the security data such as passwords, WPS keys etc. being passed over wf-fi networks. The author does state that the book is for educational purposes only and does carry occasional warnings to that affect. My only gripe is for such a recently published book, is that some of the links to the software downloads are slightly out of date and fail, although searching elsewhere and using different install methods can all be part of the learning curve.

We live right on the edge of a zone that's supplied with fibre to premises connections, ours is fibre to cabinet and it's crap, barely gets above 15Mb, the snotty git that lives not far from us is always beefing about his 200Mb connection, well once I get my hands on this book i'll rip the bollocks out of his wifi security - then i'll have 200Mb as well, and he's so dense he won't even know
