CRC is a company that's been around since 1958. It came after WD 40. Many today believe it's a major improvement over WD. However, ultimately you can be the judge of that. Unfortunately, the selling price offered here currently at Amazon for the 7.5 oz can is way over priced. Typically around $5.50 for an 11 oz can is what you can expect to pay as a fair market price. I started using it back in the 1970's. The technician who replaced the broken spring on my garage door recommended buying it. (SEE PIC) He told me many in his industry use it. He said it's even better than WD 40 and lasts a lot longer. I'll tell you he was right. I use it on the hinges, the rollers and even the chain on my automatic garage door opener. (SEE PICS) Seriously I feel I've had fewer service calls as a result and I now use it even on the sliding window tracks on my house . It does everything WD 40 does but better and leaves no residue where dirt and dust can collect. I spray it on the hinges of my car (SEE PICS). However, I've yet to use it inside as a lubricant for my car's power window motor which I've been told can also be done using the straw included. (SEE PIC) It's offered at a great price here at Amazon when they sell the 11 oz version which is often found to be regularly out of stock. This higher priced 7.5 oz can size compared to the 11 oz size is considerably smaller. (SEE PIC) Trust CRC for most of your small or heavy duty lubrication needs. You can't go wrong.

I'm using this to lubricate and waterproof some of the cables and fittings on my little bay boat. I like having something on board that will work fast, and be handy and easy to use. This fits the bill perfectly.

I also used it around the house; squeaky door knobs, hinges, bicycle gears, tuning knobs on my old banjo...this works on everything! Will almost make you feel like you're holding a hammer, and everything starts looking like a nail...you'll be looking for stuff to lubricate everywhere!

I used this in my slider tracks. I first cleaned out the track and wiped out any dirt. I then sprayed it in the track and ran the slider over it several times. I they reapplied and did the same. After this treatment the slider moved freely and was very easy to open and close.
