I use those both on my suitcases that have and the ones that don't have a TSA lock. They are great to keep the zippers securely together. They have TSA locks so I'm not saying they're anti theft because it's easy to find and print a TSA master key online but if the TSA has to go into your suitcase, they don't have to cut and discard the lock and leave it without it. The keys are tiny, careful not to lose them or forget them at home when you're travelling.

Just got back from traveling and used these on my 2 suitcases that were checked 4 times in a month, and the locks held up just fine. After one of the flights, I opened my suitcase and I saw the lovely TSA note saying they inspected it, so that answered the question as to whether these can be opened and put back.
The keys are tiny so make sure you put them in a secure place in your carry-on as more than once they ended up momentarily lost in the chaos of packing and unpacking.

I’ve had three of these locks for over 15 years and love them... I’ve never had one cut off by TSA even if I’ve had bags opened and tagged and I’ve never had anything In my suitcases go “missing”. These locks have survived dozens of international locations as well. I have one key that works all 3 Locks that I keep on my keychain and my mother has the spare in case I lose mine.. I needed a few more to be able to lock up roll-aboard suitcases / computer bags that I can’t take on one leg of my usual trip and have to valet gate check due to the size of the plane... I ordered 2 sets (so 4 locks). I’ll admit I didn’t read the other reviews because I thought I knew what I was getting... imagine my surprise and disappointment when I found out that none of the 4 new locks could be opened with my original key - and only 2 of the new locks open with 1 new key (out of two different sets)... I had to color code the locks and the keys with nail polish to easily determine what key goes with which lock (I used black, white, and Pink for the two that shared a lock). After 1 trip using three of the new locks I’ve permanently added the pink key to my already-too large set of keys... The keys/locks coded black and white are going into a drawer where maybe in another 15 years some of my first locks will give out and I’ll have no choice but to carry 3+ luggage lock keys.
