I buy these cookies all the time at local retailers. They are always fresh and in pristine condition. NOT so with these from Amazon. The shipping and cookie boxes were undamaged. But, once opened, ALL the large cookies were horribly broken. I would not recommend you buy these as gifts. Terrible for that. Seemed to taste okay. Maybe not the freshest. For the price, it’s a poor value.

12/24/20 Update: After warming to room temperature, these cookies are fresh and up to the manufacturer’s usual high standard. As noted in other buyer reviews, be wary of the 17.6 oz size, Traditional Assortment. The box shows pics of cookies including small wedges. There are no wedges in the box. In the center of the assortment box are several HUGE round cookies, lightly scored. You are evidently supposed to cut them into wedges yourself for serving. (Which doesn’t work at all well.) But, they come completely broken from Amazon. I assume due to rough handling during shipping. If you like this assortment, do not have them shipped to you. Buy them at your local retailer so they are not horribly broken.
