This covered EVERY area of my crotch both front and back... Although it is not meant for the pubic region, it can be done if this is your goal but be warned some areas are SUPER sensitive. I used level 5 the entire time and to be honest, some areas flashed were a bit painful but overall the treatments and pain are tolerable. As far as I'm concerned this cartridge performs as advertised.

Update January 18th 2014:

I am now starting to use this on my inner thighs as well as my crotch area as shaving in that area causes terrible ingrowns and scarring. I've also been tracking the cartridge's flash life and here it is so far:

You have to be willing to invest a significant amount of time, effort, and pain towards the process, but if you do the results are amazing. Worthwhile in the end. I’ve been using this for many years now. When I get lazy after 12-18 months and the hair grows back, I reinvest the time to do 5-6 more treatments and the results are the same. Very pleased. I did notice the actual device I bought years ago was discontinued (at least on Amazon). Hopefully there’s a newer model. I think I’ve been using my Remington for 4 yrs now with no issue. I had one flashbulb that seemed to burn out very prematurely, but the rest were good quality. Overall, a great investment of my time and money.

For the most part this works in my machine. Sometimes my machine shuts down completely and then kicks back on. I'm not sure if this is because of this cartridge or because of the machines age. It was not doing this before, but I have pretty much completed my task with it, and it will probably be the last cartridge I will need, as I will not need my machine going forward.

I absolutely love my Remington iLight Pro! I am fair skinned with freckles and I have medium brown hair. These replacements are so nice, and cheaper (Subscribe & Save!!!) than other sources.

I typically use the iLight about six or eight times over the course of a month. That leaves me free from shaving or lasering for the next couple of months - really! I do pick up a razor maybe once or twice to get strays, but if I do, I also re-laser that area with the iLight to get that hair's growth cycle (all hair doesn't grow at once, each follicle has its' own cycle, and you have to hit each cycle with the laser a couple/few times in order to penetrate - hence multiple times over a month).

I have been using the iLight for a couple years, and while my hair still pretty much grows back, I have actually noticed that the backs of my calves are completely hair free, my bikini line is thinner, and my underarm hair is much finer. The hair on my shins is still what it was, but even at the end of the growth stage (once it starts to grow back - I tested to see the final result) it isn't as long as it used to get.

I love the iLight, and these refills are pretty cheap (Subscribe & Save!!!!!) compared to Hammacher Schlemmer (where I bought my machine). Great price, they always work, and it's an AMAZING product. I haven't used any of the other ones, so I can't compare them, but I like this one and these refills are great.

What can I say, this cartridge is what I needed at a great price! The retail price for one cartridge is $25 but Amazon has it for much less, and especially with the $2 coupon they are offering, it's time to stock up on this.
I have been using the Remington iLight laser for the past 2 years and the results are excellent. I am an Asian with medium skin and blessed with dark, black hair. I have been using on the chin, above lips, fingers and armpits. When you start out, you will initially be discouraged by the pinch of pain the laser gives you. I hated it in the beginning but I was able to adjust the discomfort level by starting out at level 3 for the intensity on the machine. Then gradually I went up to level 5. In the beginning which happened to be summer, I used once a week for a couple of months. Since then I use it as a maintenance, once every few weeks. It really did wonders for my armpits as it used to grow back so quickly and thick when I used to shave.

Give it your time and it will give you back. You have to be patient and be diligent about using it on a regular basis to see results, which to me is amazing. Just know that you have to shave the area you want to zap as it works by detecting the dark color of the hair root and destroys. Tip: don't shave a day before zapping as hair will grow that much in a day and it will burn that little growth too, which is uncomfortable. Always shave just prior to using the machine.
