Care must be taken in construction or else things will snap. Apart from that, the build is mostly standard Astray and fun.
The kit is getting cheaper, nice! I got two, one is going to be a standard paint job, the other I’ve attached pics here:
One day build. Sprayed on the runner with no undercoat as Alclad pale gold and SpazStix (chrome with 25% holographic to graunch it up a bit) are hot enough to bond and give a more matt texture due to interactions with the plastics. Used some Alclad steel w/10% SpazSitx chrome for the weapons runner which did not interact with the paint giving a smoother finish.
Nub touchups with AK metallics (TODO) and the usual panel liner. Red bits in Tanya metallic bright red. Red stickers will get a skim with metallic paint as well to unstickerize them.
My takeaway is that if you’re going to paint it properly or use enamel panel liners then primer is a must, though I did like the unprimed effect. Mask pegs and joints for painting ad it may bust the weak plastic. Not happened to me, but nearly!

This HG Gold Frame is is molded in a dull gold, glossy black,a grayish brown, and a few pieces of red. The asymmetric design is one of its charms, as its arms are distinct. Most of the red color seen is done with stickers.
The model is very articulate, however the backpack may take up a lot of space and hinder posing at times.
Accessories include the backpack with hooks that can be detached using a small wire included with the kit, two swords that can be held in-hand as well as on the sideskirts, the left arm houses a claw weapon and the right holds a sort of Swiss Army Knife-esque shield that incorporates a beam saber and harpoons. The harpoons, however, are molded together.
As a result of it being based on the previous HG Astray Red and Blue Frame model kits, this one includes some spare parts, however not enough to recreate other forms or change the appearance drastically.
Overall, the model is a stunning piece in any gunpla builder's collection. As a recent HG model, it is ostensibly a high quality kit that requires little or no painting. I would personally recommend changing the dull gold for either a bright yellow or a shiny gold.

He enjoyed so much.
I did not see in the product discription saying that the instruction is not in English but Japanese only.
(Maybe I just missed it.)
Though, each steps are shown with pictures and like I mentioned he finished it in one day. So it's not that hard anyways.
You might get shocked to see instructions in Japanese only first, but my son could do it. So can you!

Other than that, It is good.
