this shovel makes snow shoveling much easier on the muscle and back for this middle aged woman. the orange basket of the shovel itself cracked during the second. i was trying to dislodge an ice frozen snow pile. emsco sent me a replacement basket. now in the 3rd season the grey plastic second hand has cracked and separated from the stem. i am contacting customer service again for a replacement.
the shovel is fairly light, and the second hand makes it easier to carry a shovelful of snow to a distant location for disposal . i love the swivel to scoop and throw. this is a back saver!

Snapped in Two at the base of the handle
I bought a shovel similiar to this one, with the extra swivel handle, at menards 15 years ago. Still going strong! My daughters are old enough to help shovel, so I was looking for a second one. I wasn't able to find the exact shovel, but this one was almost the exact design. It snapped in two at the base of the handle after one season. Didn't live up to the price.

I’ve used this shovel maybe three times since purchasing it. I’ve used it once this season, and the second time I went to use it, it completely snapped. Completely not worth the money that was spent on it.
I have a standard beloved shovel that I have had for 8+ years. I have used it so much, that there are major imperfections. I bought the Bigfoot shovel as a replacement, but clearly it was not a good choice!
