    When I first bought these speakers and ran them off the stock head unit, they were were "tinny" and not warm sounding. I bought infinity Primus and was happy. Now that I have a good amp and eq., I put the Orions back in and they are amazing. Loud, accurate, warm, and did I mention loud. These are high efficiency speakers. If you put clean power to them, they jam. Don't expect concert level sound from a head unit if you buy these. Give them 100 watts RMS each and see for yourself.

    I must have been unlucky to receive a defective one. Both speakers were working and I must say the quality was exceptional and loud for 6" drivers. But after abt 3 weeks one of them stopped playing.
    I am using Rockford Fosgate amps rated at 100 RMS per channel with an active crossover but it still blew. I have used several speakers on that same setup with no outcome like that. I am not cross at Orion as I said it must have been a defective one. Sh...t happens. Now would I buy more Orion products.... ?????

    Extremely clear midrange with these. Snare drums and toms hit with such athority. I used them to replace the woofers in my polk db componet set as one of them quit on me. I am giving each 125 watts rms and they get much louder in the midrange than the polks could without distortion, but they lack midbass in comparison. The polks handled 80hz no problem but these struggle with some songs even when crossed at 125hz. I don't like having my sub play higher but these left me no choice. The frequency response curve they give in the box shows they play flat until about 150hz when they start to roll off. My doors are sound deaden and sealed with home insulation behind the woofers and they have had enough play time to break in so the lack of midbass seems to be inherent with these drivers. The xmax of these is like half that of the polks which is probobly why they don't like playing real low. Though I lost midbass response, the midbass I have is much more articulate. Even with the downsides, the increase in clarity totally outweighs the cons.

    Upgrade from my OEM speakers. I ordered these speakers because they were suppose to be Exact fit, But they were 1/4" too large. I had to widen the holes to make fit. I am Still satisfied with the sounds.
