Product Description

The Sentrie Techlace offers elite-level performance with the comfort of laces and the convenience of a strap. The techlace system replaces D-rings and other hardware with laces, providing a more supple feel across the for forefoot, and the laces can be easily replaced if damaged. The Boa L6 dial offers 1mm adjustment increments when tightening and easy pull-to-release function for quick in and out of the shoe. The Sentrie Techlace is constructed with a lightweight bonded and welded breathable upper and an Easton EC70 carbon composite outsole. Inside the shoe, our SuperNatural Fit footbed features adjustable arch supports to personalise fit, comfort and pedalling efficiency.

These shoes provide great grip and power transmission through the pedals. Virtually no break in time and very comfortable. Not the most comfortable for walking in, but after all they are intended for riding. Short periods of walking the bike over rough stuff was not problem, though. Great shoe for the price.

I am a 7.5 to 8ish in various shoes usually an 8. I ordered the size 8 and they teetering on snug. So I agree with the others who say this shoe runs small. Order at least half size larger if not a full size. I probably would've been fine with the next size up but I am only using for Peleton.

After careful review of all comments on sizing I ordered initially making sure of return policy, but had to return finding them just slightly too short. That was unfortunate because the next 1/2 size up had to be from a different vendor and added $10 IIRC. I expected the next size to be right and hoped they would not be too large. If anything, they are still slightly tight, mostly around my slightly longer 2nd. They're wearable, but I'm ready to be out after an hour.

Cleat fitting is good, I used Shimano cleats, the only caveat being that when walking uphill on my concrete driveway the cleats do touch concrete due to the added pressure as I walk uphill.

Using cleats is just so much better bike experience so I'm happy with the purchase, other than very slight niggle on the size.

For around $100, these are some of the best cycling shoes that you can buy. I wore them on a ~21 mile ride the other day and have no complaints. I had no hotspots or toe numbing during my use. Keep in mind, these take MTB style 2 screw cleats, so they will not work with road style cleats. One other thing to mention, these are pure black and red. The photo on Amazon shoes the upper being more grey...they are black. But that's what I was looking for...my bike is black and red and these blend perfectly.
