Fios triple play TV was terrible BEFORE this splitter!
    5 Stars
Fios triple play TV was terrible BEFORE this splitter!
Very Happy with this splitter. No doubt it is a little pricey, but it's worth it IMO. We just got FIOS Triple play January 2016. From day one, nothing but issues with the video signal to the two HD set top cable boxes. They would lose signal, some channels "were not available", HBO2 was frequently not coming through, USA & TNT were pixelated and stuttering/unviewable...the list goes on. It took me a couple months to realize it was the splitter. I had to swap the cables around on the splitter to help 'refresh' the signal, or something...but it would only last a day or two, if I was lucky.I planned on adding a third 'digital' set top box so I was going to need a splitter with 4 outputs anyway. {1 goes to modem}. I figured if I don't have anymore headaches with a VERY EXPENSIVE fios triple play, it would be well worth the $12.99. After a week, everything has been smooth. I haven't seen any channels "unavailable" either.I attached a photo of the piece of crap splitter verizon installed. I would love to leave a review on my verizon experience here as well! But I will be an adult and just say that my girlfriend & I paid a fortune for this triple play putz and they give me sub par equipment.I chose this particular splitter because the verizon splitter was 5-1675MHz and not working well.P.S. you can split the original signal from the fios connection/converter at least 8 times without issues. Meaning coax input from fiber optic converter into a 8-way splitter. How many splits from each of the 8 varies depending on length or run, quality of coax cable (not all RG 6 is the same!) etc.I hope this review helps someone who has/had similar issues. pps; I have one of the 4 cable outputs running 100ft to a digital set top box and from that split into 3 tv's. Works and looks good, even though I do not have the interactive guide. This splitter is the reason I am able to do anything with my fios service!Cheers, good luck.

Purchased this splitter to solve issues I was having in my Comcast set-uo and establish a MoCa network for my new Tivo's. Ditched DirecTV due to cost and not needing all the channels since we are becoming empty nesters and what my wife and I watch/record is almost entirely from the broadcast networks. This is sort of stage 1 of eventually becoming cord cutters.

Anyway, pulled the DirecTV gearI had in my wiring box . Used splitters I had on hand and a MoCa bridge I had purchased from Amazon, and tried to get things enabled. MoCa was not working, So I configured the Tivo Bolt to talk wireless to the network, and put the TiVo Mini on an Apple Airport Express via ethernet. Network performance was lackluster, with the Mini not able to stream content from the Bolt.

So, I ordered this splitter. I have the Comcast signal feeding thru a MoCa filter then into this splitter and using 3 of the 4 legs feeding my Cable Modem / Tivo Bolt / Tivo Mini. And, with that, I was able to set-up MoCa networking between the Tivo's. The Tivo Bolt acts as the bridge to the MoCa network.I interfaced the Bolt to my Apple Time Capsule (which is also my router) via ethernet. Ran set-up on the Bolt and the Mini and everything is now running smoothly. Each leg of the splitter is only -7.0db. Well built and seems heavy duty. Some splitters just seem flimsy. this thing has some heft to it.

I'll be ordering a second copy to feed my upstairs outlets for additional Tivo Mini's.

This splutter is perfect for MoCA (Media over Coax) use. The 5-2300 MHz range on this allows nearly all signals (OTA, Cable, Satellite, MoCA, etc) to traverse the splitter without any significant impedance. This is bi-directional, so the in-port behaves just like the 4 outs.

This is built solidly from strong metal, and has a nice weight, better than I expected to be sure. There are 2 screw holes (and screws are included) if you choose to mount this to a board/wall, or other surface.

I got a good laugh speculating what BAMF stands for, but I must say I am a fan. This product is simple and no frills, it may not be very exciting, but it is perfect, and I do not have a single complaint about it.

I paid full price for this product with my own money - I was not incentivized in any way for this review, and would happily buy the product again.

Works with Verizon fios. No issues with internet or TV picture quality
Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2021
My installation was pretty simple; using DSL modem (phone line) and no other TV system sharing the cable and wanting to use the existing tv cable for internet rather than running cat5e cable. From the DSL Modem, I used a ethernet port to connect to a MOCA then it's cable output into the input of this splitter. The four cable outputs then used the existing TV cable in the home for three destinations. (4 total MOCA adapters). Each destination had a receiving MOCA adapter connected to a small 5-port switch. After testing the direct router connection internet up/down speed and then testing the MOCA internet connection speed, there was almost zero difference (50M/10M is my service for DSL). Now we can stream Video on the apple TV, run two office laptops, personal laptop, and a iMAC without any noticeable delay. It is more expensive than simply running Cat5e cable, but far easier. I can't answer as to the build quality other's reviewed about, but I mounted it inside the outdoor access panel for our TV cable (not in the rain) and it seems solid and well built.
