FAQ

Why can't the filaments stick to the build bed easy?

1. You need to apply a thin layer of tick glue to the print platform.

2. Check the temperature setting before printing, PLA filaments have lower extrusion temperature (180 - 220°C).

3. If the first layer has poor adhesion, it is recommended to re-level the print substrate to reduce the distance between the nozzle and the surface plate.

Care Instructions

1. Please store 3D printer filament in a cool dry place after each print.

2. Be sure to insert the free end of the PLA filament into the holes to avoid being tangled for next time use.

3. If there is no print plan within a few days, retract the filament to protect the printer nozzle.

I was really excited to try this filament because of the price, but after trying it I'm no longer excited; you get what you pay for. I would have given it four stars, but because of my much better experience with other filaments, I'm giving it three.Pros:- Low cost- Decent spool with good winding, no tangles- Fairly consistent diameter (within specs)- Nicely packaged (vacuum seal with desiccant packet)- Decent print qualityCons:- Absorbs moisture very fast (even when in airtight container with desiccant)- Significant curling/warping in my experience (compared to other PLAs)- Doesn't like to stick to the bed very well (compared to other filaments like eSUN)I know that all PLA absorbs moisture, but in my experience, this filament absorbed moisture much faster than other filaments I've used. I can tell that it has absorbed moisture because it makes a popping/crackling sound while printing and there are small gaps everywhere in the print. I haven't tried dehydrating it in an oven because I'm not convinced it's worth the effort. UPDATE: I dried the filament at 150F for 5 hours and I'm still experiencing the same issues, there was virtually no improvement on the quality. My biggest gripe with this filament is that it curls A LOT. PLA is known for being very resilient to warping or curling, but this filament sure is not. I have not printed one thing with this filament that had a perfectly flat bottom. No matter what settings I use or how level the bed is, every print curls along the edges which doesn't look good and affects the tolerances on mechanical parts. However, I will give it the benefit of the doubt because I exclusively use bare, hot glass as a build surface. It may work really well with other build surfaces, but I prefer glass. Also, I have not had issues like this with any other type of filament I have printed on the same glass under the same conditions.Overall, I would not recommend this filament. Spend a few more dollars per kg and get something like Hatchbox or eSUN.

Filament quality seems fine with the K1 Max.

5kg spool, after reading the reviews I was really hesitant about the filament I do know of the process how it's made and all. So the batch I have #05300220622 PLA Black even though the manufacture is from China I do not have a proper holder or feeder for this size so what I've done is respool the holders I had. So far I would say the strength wise is strong like overture of hatchbox there were no breaks or snapping when I would respool my own holders to make them more neat and tight. So far the prints I had were astounding quality is better by far. As for jams none whatsoever. I do occasionally purge a small amount other than that it is by far top notch as for this batch i cannot say for other batches since this is the first 5kg I've bought for the price it's affordable and cheap compared to the other 5kg brands. I'll include some photo as a comparison. Left will be overture and right will be this brand. As you can see the overture is shiny but leaves alot of layer reflection compared to this 5kg brand its more of a matte like finish layers have been more evenly distributed. You can definitely feel the texture finish as for the part it's a prop weapon from the game Apex Legends the Havoc rifle I have yet do any post process work as I am still getting all the prints made. Overture pla is hit or miss some are a good batch some are not the one I have the lines snapped so far from the line for this brand it moves at ease on NY Ender 3 S1 not the pro model sadly there weren't any at the time. But so far so good. I'll have to edit this feedback as in its only the 3rd day I'm using this product.

I've done multiple prints with one of these rolls. Mine adhered to the bed fine. I did have issues with stringing, lots of it. Not a huge issue. Might sound strange, but my prints with this seemed more brittle. Like joints and edges break easier. I had to increase my infill and support density just slightly to compensate. For the price, it's ok. Not as good as a Overture roll, but with some tweaks it performs adequately. I bought a second 5kg roll. May or may not buy a third. 3.5 out of 5. I would recommend this as a secondary choice of filament, or as a ,"I'm broke this month" choice.

For the last two years, I've hit the "reorder" button for tianse PLA filament because it's never failed me. It came vacuum sealed, there were no tangles, and it never broke during a print. I ordered two spools in October 2022 and have had every problem you can imagine. The filament snapped just outside of the extruder and so I put it in a SUNLU filament warmer. Even after I warmed it for a few hours, it constantly broke just before the extruder, where it left the SUNLU warmer, and between the extruder and the filament detector. It would even break as I removed it from the filament detector so that the filament was now inside the Bowden tube where I couldn't grab it. If I disconnected the Bowden tube and tried to pull the filament out - you guessed it - another break - and this time I'd have to push what was stuck in the tube through the nozzle. Luckily I had about 4 feet of old tianse filament that I used to push the new stuff through my printer - the old stuff worked just fine.

These two latest rolls were delivered in the same box I've always received but I noticed the bag was not vacuum sealed on either one. Just to make sure that there was not something else going on, I ordered a different brand last night, had it shipped overnight, and fed it into my 3D printer this morning. Not a single problem. I can't help but conclude this has nothing to do with room temp, humidity, the way I handled the filament, or my 3D printer; it was simply two bad rolls of tianse filament.

I gave this 5 stars because its not the manufacturers fault this is not plug and play. It's not regular PLA and needs tweaking just like any different plastic you use for the first time.

I have three printers of different brands. All three have different settings to print the same PLA. So..nothing is apples to apples when extruding plastic. I had several failed and frustrating test prints before I got it dialed in. The result is a really cool organic looking filament so I'm hoping I can help you! And my procedure was a little different than what I read here.
The first layer is CRITICAL and a PAIN. I had several fails with goopy extrusion and no adhesion. The filament is THICK and does not extrude like regular PLA. And yes, you really need to use a .06 nozzle and it needs to be HOT. Here were my final settings for success:

I created a new profile just for this filament because it was so different.
1. Reduce overall print speed from full to 65-70% speed. It needs more time to extrude properly.
2. Print bed was 60c
3. I printed at .02mm layer height
4. Use a BRIM to clean out the nozzle and get things flowing
5. First layer was at 25% speed, 175% layer height, 165% layer width, 240c. This FINALLY laid a beautiful and clean first layer.
6. Second layer was 230c, regular settings.
7. All other layers were 200C

My first successful exterior print was at 210c layers and looked nice, but had more strings than I like. Instead of tweaking ooze control, I just dropped it to 200c. This is what worked for me so give it a try if you are pulling your hair out. Wood PLA is really beautiful and not like cheap toys. I have used more expensive stuff that doesn't look as good. Good luck!

I’ve bought a few of these for a massive print, not expecting great quality. But for its price that was OK. Not so for the last purchase. Was no longer on sale, and this ended up being the worst roll of filament I’ve ever witnessed in my 9 years of 3D printing. First it started out with these odd kinks (as seen in photo) and as the roll progressed it got way worse. There’s kinks and folds all over the place. I bought the 5kg roll instead of the 1kg’s so that I wouldn’t have to constantly reload. Now with these issues I have to re-load filament due to it breaking or jamming.

5.0 out of 5 stars Es un PLA de calidad, bobinado muy bueno.
Reviewed in Spain on June 17, 2021
