FAQ
Why can't the filaments stick to the build bed easy?
1. You need to apply a thin layer of tick glue to the print platform.
2. Check the temperature setting before printing, PLA filaments have lower extrusion temperature (180 - 220°C).
3. If the first layer has poor adhesion, it is recommended to re-level the print substrate to reduce the distance between the nozzle and the surface plate.
Care Instructions
1. Please store 3D printer filament in a cool dry place after each print.
2. Be sure to insert the free end of the PLA filament into the holes to avoid being tangled for next time use.
3. If there is no print plan within a few days, retract the filament to protect the printer nozzle.

Customers are mixed about the quality of the thermoplastic filament. Some mention it's a great product at a reasonable price for PLA, and the quality is consistent. Customers have mixed opinions about the adhesion of the thermoplastic filament. Some mention that it sticks well and does not snag while printing, while others say that it has poor adhesiveness and refuses to adhere to the bed. The first layer would just not stick, and the material would randomly get stuck in the hotend. The edges never stuck to the walls and surfaces warped and bubbled.
"...I had several fails with goopy extrusion and no adhesion. The filament is THICK and does not extrude like regular PLA...." Read more
"I've done multiple prints with one of these rolls. Mine adhered to the bed fine. I did have issues with stringing, lots of it. Not a huge issue...." Read more

"...It sticks incredibly well to the bed however, and can be difficult to remove even when cooled...." Read more
Customers are mixed about the stringing of the thermoplastic filament. Some mention that it causes no stringing between parts, while others say that it does cause a lot of stringing.
"...Mine adhered to the bed fine. I did have issues with stringing, lots of it. Not a huge issue...." Read more

"...Pros:- Low cost- Decent spool with good winding, no tangles- Fairly consistent diameter (within specs)-..." Read more
Customers are dissatisfied with the clogging of thermoplastic filament. They mention that the adhesion is terrible, and it clogs their nozzles and hot ends. Some customers also say that the hot end had under-extrusion issues.
"...Don't expect a smooth look, the hot end had undere-xtrussion issues, and now it's jamming it causing a full extruder repair...." Read more
"...can get the filament to begin printing at around 190c, it continuously clogs the hot end using a 0.4mm nozzle...." Read more
"...I haven't experienced any clogs, bubbles or bad winding issues with the spool...." Read more

Filament quality seems fine with the K1 Max.
I buy this stuff for home and for my Tech Lab at school. It all I buy. I can count on the outcome Tianse Filament.
These two latest rolls were delivered in the same box I've always received but I noticed the bag was not vacuum sealed on either one. Just to make sure that there was not something else going on, I ordered a different brand last night, had it shipped overnight, and fed it into my 3D printer this morning. Not a single problem. I can't help but conclude this has nothing to do with room temp, humidity, the way I handled the filament, or my 3D printer; it was simply two bad rolls of tianse filament.

I have three printers of different brands. All three have different settings to print the same PLA. So..nothing is apples to apples when extruding plastic. I had several failed and frustrating test prints before I got it dialed in. The result is a really cool organic looking filament so I'm hoping I can help you! And my procedure was a little different than what I read here.
The first layer is CRITICAL and a PAIN. I had several fails with goopy extrusion and no adhesion. The filament is THICK and does not extrude like regular PLA. And yes, you really need to use a .06 nozzle and it needs to be HOT. Here were my final settings for success:
I created a new profile just for this filament because it was so different.
1. Reduce overall print speed from full to 65-70% speed. It needs more time to extrude properly.
2. Print bed was 60c
3. I printed at .02mm layer height
4. Use a BRIM to clean out the nozzle and get things flowing
5. First layer was at 25% speed, 175% layer height, 165% layer width, 240c. This FINALLY laid a beautiful and clean first layer.
6. Second layer was 230c, regular settings.
7. All other layers were 200C
My first successful exterior print was at 210c layers and looked nice, but had more strings than I like. Instead of tweaking ooze control, I just dropped it to 200c. This is what worked for me so give it a try if you are pulling your hair out. Wood PLA is really beautiful and not like cheap toys. I have used more expensive stuff that doesn't look as good. Good luck!
