Bought 5 of these for my fleet of tow boats. 4 out of 5 stars due to 4 out of 5 radios lasting longer than a few months. They all work great except one. That one after 2 months the speaker would work sometimes and then not work at all randomly. The other 4 haven't had any issues at all. Probably a defect or something is loose inside. Need to send it back.
They transmit clearly, are pretty loud when volume is cranked all the way up. The multi channel scan feature is very nice if you only have one radio and want to listen to multiple stations. If you through dash mount it (like I did) make sure you buy the mounting push brackets for it which are sold seperately. Overall a decent VHF for the price.
