So I'm saving for an official review till i get some new batteries in but I have tried some new batteries I had at home plus some I had in some remotes and none worked. So if the new batteries don't work I'll let you guys know. If the batteries don't work that I got on the way it's the trains and I'll be returning to the seller. Has anyone had issues with getting them to work? FYI I had to submit a rating so i rated it a 3 across the board atm.

PS my grandson who is two years old loves the train set.

These trains are great! They move by themselves forward and backwards (with battery), they run out of battery quickly however. The engine part is plastic with a plastic driver, the piece that opens to put the driver in falls off easily but snaps back in mostly easily. The train cars that the engine can pull are wooden and cute. We don't use the other road block parts but they are nice. It all comes in a nice wooden case but we don't use the case to store because my toddler cant do that easily- we throw in a box or leave on the train table.
