I figured it’s my turn to participate in a review forThis monitor. Like MANY others, I went ahead andOrdered despite the the problems other people had. However I’ve had this monitor for 4 days.. it is already doing the problems stated. However the monitor is a great design. I just wish it didn’t have these issues.Pros: split screen! My absolute favorite thing.Pretty easy to use and navigate through the menuScreen is awesomely big to see everything. It has a very long cord for the cameras and parent unit which is nice for placement optionsCons: very hard to find anything online to mount this with or on! I order clips that said universal and was not! We ended up screwing a nail into the back and hanging it on the wall that way.It also has crap battery life so after about 2 hours you go from 4 bars to 1 (yes I charged it 16 hours before use)The first day it did great. However on the second day it just kept powering off. It wasn’t too big of a deal at that time because it was nap time and I could keep turning it back on.. however a pain in the butt none the less. At night time, it’s a real concern because when you’re sleeping and it just powers off, it freaks me out!You also need to have this VERY high above the crib to be able to see a full view of the crib. All in all, it would be a great monitor if the battery held a charge & it didn’t randomly cut off. If it is doing this after 4 days, I’m not willing to keep any longer when I can return and choose a different monitor. I went ahead and ordered the Infant Optics DX8 like most other people and hope that it works how I need it to!

I thought this item would be great , I could put one camera in my toddler's room and one in my infants room.. which I did, but after about 3 months, the monitor quit working with the supplied power cord. I attempted to contact the manufacturer ( also paid for the 3 year extended warranty), to no avail. I tried to file a claim, the item was sent back to me ( claim was denied) and the screen was cracked. I'm not sure what happened. But, looking back, I definitely should have listened to my gut and the reviews.
It's been three years since I bought the baby monitor, it's still floating around somewhere in the box it was returned to me in. I gave up trying to file a claim with my extended warranty and bought a new monitor.

What I did like about this monitor was the fact that I could have it set to my infant, and every so often it would switch to my toddler's room. It alerted me of noise or movement. During the day, if the sun wasn't too bright, there was a clear picture.

What I did not like, the video at night was very pixilated. The sound also echoed a lot of there was a delay, like I could see my toddler babbling or whatever, but the sound wouldn't follow for like ten seconds...
I also didn't like that if I went to the first floor of my home while one of my kids was napping on the second floor, I could only use the monitor if I unplugged it from the wall and brought it and the power supply downstairs. Then I would have to ALWAYS re-pair the cameras to it. I didn't like that there was no wifi capabilities, and it wasn't a "charge and carry" item.
If you live in a small, one floor home, this may work for you. But, I would pass if I ever had to purchase another.

This is the third baby monitor I've had and its been by far the best. The first was a cheap one from Walmart, don't even remember the brand but it only lasted a month. The second was the infant optics that came highly recommended and got great reviews. It only lasted about 6 months and had issues with one of the cameras and the monitor battery not charging. This one has been great. We use it all night and most of the day every day. The picture quality is pretty good and it picks up sound very well. The night vision can be very bright if it is too close to the crib or bed, we actually thought the camera was bad until we moved it further away. We use it with two cameras and have it switch back and forth between the two and that works perfectly for us. I would highly recommend getting the Motorola StarGrip to use with it if you plan on hanging it on the wall or basically using it anywhere other than a table or shelf.

We previously had another Motorola monitor, which seems very basic to this one in comparison. When we found out we were expecting baby #2, I immediately knew I wanted to purchase a new set altogether rather than purchase an additional camera since the first one we had wasn't "love".
This one has a much larger monitor with a clearer picture and the ability to pan the view - something my original model lacked and I considered a NECESSITY going forward. I also didn't want a camera with WiFi capailities, which has become surprisingly hard to find. (I'd much rather have a designated monitor for keeping an eye on my babies as it's constant montoring and I don't have to worry about my phone's battery life or hacking.)
Here's a quick breakdown of my experience:

The Good:
- Decent picture quality. I can see my son in his room sleeping, and that's what the purchase was intended for.
- Cameras have the ability to pan remotely and from what I can tell have an incredible pan range - I believe 360°.
- Battery life on the monitor is great. I've left it unplugged all night (accidentally) and it holds strong.
- Two-way communication is great for telling my toddler to go to sleep or get back into bed, lol
- Screen split is incredibly helpful when trying to keep an eye on two kids at a time. The sound from only one camera comes through the monitor, but you can toggle the sound feed back and forth with the arrows (while still viewing both camera feeds)
- You also have the ability to "rotate" between camera feeds. I believe it cycles every 5 seconds, but I could be wrong.
- It's a very aesthetically pleasing camera set. I find them to be rather pretty compared to a lot of the ones I found. Maybe not significant in the grand scheme of things, but they sure are nice to look at. :)

The Bad:
- The feed frequently freezes up/loses connection/restarts. This is incredibly bothersome in the middle of the night for me as I am a light sleeper and ALWAYS wake up when this happens. It reconnects within 5 seconds or so, but it's still rather annoying if I can be honest.
- The button locations are something I still struggle with. I'm not sure if that's due to me being used to my previous monitor's setup or if the configuration on this just doesn't make sense - but even after using it for 2 months I haven't adjusted to the button locations.

Overall, I am relatively pleased with the picture quality and functionality of this set, though I may have continued my search given the feed disruption issues.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good product

Good monitor, a little laggy in adjusting when lighting changes. But a good monitor with a good size screen and can rotate between all cameras automatically or have split screen. The only issue I have is that the split screen only has sound from the selected camera... but I think that is typical of all monitors...
Wall mounting of the camera is not simple like others - needs a special mount. Range of the monitor is good. Motion of camera tilt/swivel is great.

1.0 out of 5 stars Good quality, but lacks key features
Reviewed in Australia on May 8, 2021
Style: 2-CamerasVerified Purchase
The quality is great - picture resolution, camera control, battery life, etc.

However, 2 fundamental features are missing:
1. There is no volume threshold level on the camera (baby unit). So you have two choices:
A. Turn the volume on the parent unit to the minimum, and still hear all the background noise in the baby room continually. The minimum level is loud enough to keep me from sleeping.
B. Turn the volume off, but then you won't hear the baby crying.
What is needed is zero sound from the parent unit, until the baby makes a noise (with adjustable threshold). This product does not give you this feature.

2. The volume on the camera can't be adjusted. So you can play 5 lullabies and speak to the baby through the parent unit, but only at the factory-set volume. I find the lullabies playing too loud, but there is no way to solve this, except maybe sticking tape over the speaker or not using this feature.

I will be returning this unit.

This is the 4th baby monitor I’ve been through in 2.5 years and it sucks. The sound is good and I like that you can have both monitors on one screen. Other than that, everything else sucks. Not only is the sound laggy, but the video is also incredibly laggy and choppy. The night vision is absolutely terrible and I struggle to even distinguish what I’m looking at. The picture is also very zoomed up close on its normal setting and there is no way to zoom it out. And the little kick stand on the back to prop it up is so cheaply made and about to snap off any day. And the cherry on top of all of this, I was sent a used monitor that had been opened and taped back up in a beat up box. Probably someone else who hated it and decided to return. However, I paid full price for something that should have been brand new, not used, so for this I am giving this a 1 star.
