This unit puts off heat but really designed for a small 10x10 room. We put ours outside in a covered screen patio it's decent but for our patio probably need a second or third one to really enjoy the outdoors. Giving this a 3 because we thought it would be just a little bit bigger.

I used these for my home gym in garage. Works awesome for the direct heat so you don't have to heat the entire space before you go work out. The Filament or bulb did burn out after a couple months in one of them not sure why. Surjuny did not respond however, I emailed the company and they send a whole new unit! Their customer service was fantastic. If you encounter issues contact the company and they will help you.

I would absolutely but again.

The heat from the infrared will travel about 6 or 8 feet. It will warm your space, but is the best direct heat source. There is no Wind from a blower getting cold as it passes through the air. Its just infrared heat.

UPDATED: SURJUNY customer support was very responsive and sent out a new heater. The new heater had all of it's parts and the heat deflector was mounted properly. It is possible that the issues with the first heater were mainly due to damage in shipping. I would still say that the heater feels a little "cheap" but it is working great and their support was very good. I updated my overall rating to reflect the new unit and great customer service.

The mounting screws were loose in the box and I could never find one of them. I could tell that at least one screw was missing on the heater itself. The heat deflector behind the element just rattles around and it isn't long enough to try and secure it. I am assuming that it isn't supposed to just lay loosely against the heating element but it also doesn't look like it "broke free" from a mounting location. The heater itself works great and puts out a lot of heat although it is kind of bright when you have it turned on high. I am considering returning it but it's gotten pretty cold and it is working.

We ordered the PatioBoss for our back porch for a number of reasons. The main two are here:
1. Warmth on a cool day/ night
2. To create a comfortable space for my kids to hang with their friends during Covid (safer outside).

To begin with, its great looking and inconspicuous Nobody should notice the heater on the wall, just feel its warmth and comfort. The PatioBoss can also alter the intensity depending on the temps outside. The cooler it is, the higher the setting. The kids were also taught to put it on a timer so as not to forget to shut it off. It's a great safety feature. And it only requires some simple mounting and an outlet to plug (120v)
Finally, at one point I called on their Service Department to ask for some guidance and they were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They won't let you go without ensuring you're happy with their product. You cannot go wrong with a PatioBoss. Cheers!

This was great last winter. It kept me and my fiance warm when we wanted to sit outside on cold nights. The remote control was a bit glitchy and I didn't like how there was no way to power the heater on manually without the remote. But, it worked for us. Until last night. I plugged it in for the first time since last winter. It powered on but the remote would not turn on the heat. You can't turn it on manually so now it's just an expensive piece of trash.

I board dogs in a large metal building without insulation right now. So I needed something that could sit on the floor in front of the kennels. I place one heater in front of a 4'x6'x6' wire kennel and it keeps it about 68-70 degrees in the back of the kennel at the furthest point away from the heater. This is on nights when it is approximately 35 degrees outside. It heats up in about 5 seconds. The timer feature is awesome, you can set it up to 24 hours so no risk of forgetting to turn it off. And there is no set up. Just a few screws to add the legs on the back. Unless you want to hang it on a wall. I have two of them and have used them almost every night for 3 weeks and zero issues. I am purchasing a 3rd one today.

The heater screws are just thrown into bag with heater. I had to take apart the heater to remove 2 of the screws that were stuck inside.

If you need installation instructions dont rely on the manual. Pretty vague.

The angled safety protections seems to work ok. I tried turning it on at an angle to see if it worked after I found the damage.

Overall it is a nice heater. I would buy again, but if it comes damaged next time I'll send it right back

I bought this heater for use in our shed which we are converting to an oversized doghouse, which is about 14 ft x 8 ft. With it plugged in on high heat I still couldn't feel any heat coming from it unless I was less than two feet away. However, when I had it in the house it was very warm. It was about 32 degrees (F) outside when I tested it. It doesn't seem to overcome cold temperatures well. Perhaps if I purchased 6-8 of them it would have worked, but this does not work for our needs. I had thought since the shed is completely enclosed it would work better. This would probably work well for cool temperatures to take the chill out, but it won't work to warm up a cold area to a tolerable temperature.
