    It's great to be able to see the controls in the dark with the back light and to have the volume control on the front.Much better than the small control that comes with the TV.But, the numbered channel buttons do not work with my TLC-Roku smart TV. Tech attempted to program using various codes but could not get them to work.

    I've tried several other universal remotes for my RCA WebOS smart TV. The one that came with it is good, but no backlighting (which I think should be standard on all TV remotes), plus my dog chewed off the input button! This one was the easiest to setup. For my TV, though, the • button is the Guide button, and the Home button displays the TV security password dialog instead of the WebOS screen—and it rejects the correct passcode, so I can only get to WebOS using the original remote.

    This remote lights up beautifully for use in a dim or dark room. You can easily select the the color of light you wish and for remote functions it works fine on my TCL Roku TV, although it will not allow you to use the numbers on the remote and that's a Roku problem. My 58" Samsung and a 40" Sony in a guest room work perfectly and It also works perfectly on my Roku 2022 streaming express but that's where the problem comes in it will not work on the latest Roku streaming stick 4K or the 2020 Ultra and I blame it on Roku for not keeping their remotes standard. I'm selling my Roku 4k stick because the Express is just as fast if not faster and I'm changing my starts to 5 since the problem with the Roku 4K stick and Ultra is a Roku problem.

    I only bought this to replace the crappy XBOX ONE remote I bought that didn't even last me 2 yrs for my XBOX ONE! & I assumed that being a G.E., it would be better! How wrong was I?! It took a 1/2 hr just to program it turn my TV on & off & adjust the volume on it! & I cannot program it at all for my XBOX ONE! It only provides 3 codes to manually do this, & all 3 are useless! I TRIED the auto program, & it managed to turn the console off, & then it says to manually turn the device back on, & hit Viol. Up till it shuts it off again! Why must this be so complicated w/so many steps?! Anyway, I hit the vol. Up button till my hand was getting tired & nothing happened! It didn't have any effect at all on the XBOX! & in the Q&A, the manufacturer claims it does & doesn't wok for the XBOX ONE! Well, which is it?! Schizo says what?! Other people say they got it to work, but, I wish they said how! I am gonna wind up returning this & get my $ back, & buy the crappy cheapo one that I will have to replace in 23 months again, cause at least that 1 worked right out of the box! I'd rather have to replace it every 22-23 months, then have 1 that lasts forever & doesn't do what I need it to, & you need an engineering degree or be a Jedi to get it to work right for what you need it to do! SMDH!!! Other con is, you need the strength of 10 men, or some kind of a tool to get the battery cover off! REALLY?!! WHY?! If you have arthritis, don't buy this, as you'll never be able to get the batteries in it, let alone replace them! Ridiculous! Absolute waste of $!

    Bought GE 40081 so we could control TV, volume, Roku (Telstra TV) etc from one remote. Works with Telstra TV out of the box and only took a couple of minutes to program for our TV and Bluray/Home theatre system. Has a comprehensive list of codes included for hundreds of devices.
