I took a chance and bought 2 at the same time baseed on the good reviews. Right off the bat I noticed how beautifully packaged and how clean the computer looked almost new. I knew right away it was money well spent. Set up was straight forward except that you would need a Microsoft account to get Pass the windows 10 set up.
Everything worked then I noticed that the charger was getting unusually hot and so was the computer itself. I looked closely at the charger and noticed it was not an original Dell charger, it was an aftermarket 3rd party charger. I immediately knew this was the issue. Dell makes its products to meet specific standards and its accessories should never be compromised. Being that this was a refurbished I doubt the seller would have available Dell chargers.

I just happened to have 20 of these Dell chargers in my Storage. I know it's Dell because it says Dell on it and it's really heavy and feels of high quality it also has a blue led light at the plug point.

I swapped out the chargers and immediately banished the cheap charger that came with the laptop.

The difference was immediate, no hot surface anywhere and the laptop charged nicely.

In conclusion if you are going to invest in these laptops at these price points, it is strongly advised that you also invest in the original chargers that was made with the computer when Brand new. They are usually available at reasonable prices on eBay.
Top notch computer for the price. I just saved myself almost $800 not buying a brand new computer.

It's functional, it's not fast and if you try doing anything other than Netflix/YouTube it gets fussy. Also, if the SSD goes out on it you're out of luck. You are not given a windows key to reinstall anything.
You get told the operating system is embedded into the motherboard. So you don't need a key because you can just reinstall from that. But there's no way to access it.
But if your ssd or motherboard goes out, that means you don't have the windows key anywhere reinstall your operating system and actually use your computer again. Unless you buy another windows copy somewhere.. and since the SSD is "kingfast" which is notoriously bad for crashing, this is a problem you will run into often. So you're stuck.

This refurb Laptop is running very well and it came in excellent condition, all specs as promised. The Battery capacity is beyond my expectations, the battery reads as 100% original capacity and offers excellent battery life. The SSD is also a mainstream brand and the laptop runs extremely fast, now dual booting Windows 10 Pro & Kubuntu with ease and with all the security features a business user needs - for only around $200 CAD - it’s quite a bargain. The replacement charger they sent me came within only 2 days and is of exceptional quality, this thing is a tank. I can see this laptop lasting for many more years, they don’t build them like this anymore. Another thing to note, accessories for this laptop can be easily found on Amazon at an amazing price. Laptop is also easily upgradeable compared to modem laptops.
