This is a really nice unit for the price and I had it set up and working in about 30 minutes. The positive features begin with the instructions themselves, very clear and easy to follow. I wired it directly into the backup lights on my 2010 RAM so that the camera would only go on when the truck is in reverse. This is very easy to do by just removing one of the tail light lens covers so you can see the wires, then simply splicing the red wire from the camera to the positive backup wire and the black wire to the negative wire. Splicing is very easy with the included clips but you can also just strip a small section of wire and splice it in that way if you prefer. Remember to wrap the splice with electrical tape to prevent accidental touching of metal parts on the vehicle. You may have to google which color is positive and which is negative on your vehicle but if you connect them and the system doesn’t work, simply reverse them, no harm done. Once connected simply plug the monitor into the DC jack and make sure the power button is on, then put the vehicle into reverse and the monitor should go on. It’s really that simple! I was amazed at the clarity and brightness of the display and was able to adjust the camera angle so that when the object behind me touches the red backup guidelines I know I am about three feet from the object. The monitor also comes with a stand that can be mounted on top of your dashboard for easy placement and removal of the monitor or it also includes the standard ball and socket bracket with adhesive pads to mount on the front of your dash if you prefer. The monitor also comes with a pretty long power cord which enables it to reach the 12 volt receptacle from pretty much anyplace on the dash. The monitor also has several menu buttons on the side that enable you to adjust brightness, contrast, and the visual guidelines. It is also capable of split screen so you can add another camera if you wish although I have not added a second camera so I cannot comment on this.
There are only two minor negatives I will mention about this unit. The first is that the antenna that receives the signal from the camera is mounted on top of the monitor which to me is a bit clumsy. I have another unit that has the antenna mounted out of sight on the rear of the monitor and just looks better to me. But this is just a personal preference and does not affect the functionality at all. The second is that although the unit works exactly the way it was designed to work, a great addition would be an audible signal to go with the visual that alerts you when something is close behind you. That said, as stated earlier this is a great unit for the price, easy to install, and functions exactly as advertised.

- Wireless rear view camera for trucks and cars, this rear view camera has no internal battery and is powered by the car's power light, not by solar power. The 5” monitor is not rechargeable and is powered by the car cigarette lighter. Please see the user manual and Youtube video for assembly details.
- Highly recommended for vehicles under 33 feet. The antenna on the camera should not touch metal substances, otherwise it may affect the signal transmission.
- The green tab on the upper right corner of the display is the protective film, which you can choose to remove or retain. It is recommended to remove the protective film from the camera before use.

Great Quality - Easy Install
The picture quality of the camera screen are really good. I have a backup camera on my vehicle already, but I'm not able to adjust it where I want or need it. I need this for backing up and hooking up a trailer. The location where this camera is make it perfect that for that use. I can also use it while driving just to keep an eye behind me if somebody is getting a bit too close.The box it came in was very well packed. There was a lot of foam to protect the electronics and the screens. The amount of wire provided was way over what I needed but I sure appreciate they put in more than needed instead of having to go out and buy more.Hooking up the camera may be a bit daunting for some, but if you understand basics that + is positive (red) and - is negative (black), you should be okay. They include a video link to install it which can help if you get stuck.I used one of the license plate bulb wires to connect the camera. Yes, I have to turn on my lights, but that's not a big deal. It was easier than trying to find a "hot" wire. I was able to determine which wire was positive and which was negative with a simple volt meter. Put on the splices and wires, then crimped them down. A few zip ties to make it neat and it was done in about 20 minutes, give or take.Because this is on a pickup, I did have some trouble getting the rear lines to match up. I had to move the camera angle a bit to adjust it along with some settings on the display itself, but I eventually got it close enough for me.They give you a number of option on how to mount the display which is also nice. You get a sticky bottom suction base you can put on your dash, or window - they also give you a slide in base (bottom right in the picture) that you can use with the double sided tape to stick on your dash. The sticky bottom has a magnet that sticks to a metal plate on the back of the display. Nice if you want to take it down.I'd like to wire up the display to come on when I turn my key, but that's something I need to do and they provide an adapter to for that (black with the green end in the pic). They give you a really nice plug that goes into your 12v power supply (used to be called a cigarette lighter) that has an on / off button so it's up to you when you want the display to be on or off. 5 buttons on the side to help you adjust the brightness, contrast, and where the backup lines appear, or don't. You can turn them off if you don't want to use them.So, if you have a trailer, or just want to get or replace your backup camera, this is a great option for the price.
