Hands-Free Calling and Audio Streaming

Stay safe and obey local hands-free laws with built-in Bluetooth (HFP). Easily pair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the AVH-210EX without having to go through complicated settings. When a registered Bluetooth device is near the receiver, the auto connection function automatically pairs the two units.

From wireless audio streaming (A2DP), hands-free calling, and simple pairing, to audio control and artist, album, and song search (AVRCP 1.6 profile), Bluetooth wireless technology has made life in the vehicle much more convenient.

The AVH-210EX features Bluetooth Hands Free Profile 1.6 including Wideband Speech capability, which improves the sound quality of phone calls by offering double the frequency bandwidth.

Android Music Support

Users of Android devices running operating system 4.0 or later can connect and listen to music stored on their device to the AVH-210EX without the need for an app. The process is made possible using Media Transfer Protocol (MTP). MTP allows the receiver to recognize the Android smartphone as a music storage device. Users can now access music via USB stored on an Android device and operate basic operations like FF, REW, Play, Pause, Random Play, and Repeat. Metadata information such as track, artist, and album name can be displayed.

USB Direct Control for iPhone

Pioneer's AVH-210EX is ready to roll with direct connectivity to your iPod or iPhone for music. Song, artist, time and album information are beautifully displayed on the 6.2" touchscreen.

A USB connection provides direct digital signal transfer from the device for clean, clear sound while providing 1 amp of current to keep your iPod/iPhone charged.

Not quite what I needed
Seems great on paper but some of the listed features are misleading.All the listed functions are technically there but the details in the fine print need to be more upfront. The large bold print on the box this states this unit is iPhone and iPod compatible. While technically true you, need the most current model as older models are not supported. That's the issue I have as mine is an older large capacity iPod Classic that works fine but the head unit errors out when it is connected. (see image) A search through the manual's list of error codes further explained this.The unit also supports USB thumb drives (Fat16/Fat32 formats ONLY) and most modern drives are pre-formatted in ExFat. With a quick reformatting of the drive it will work so I found a work around for my antiquated iPod problem, right? The head unit has a file structure limitation which may not be a problem for many people but again for me, copying over 30+years of album data produces more than 300 folders/subfolders. The unit has a limitation of 8 directories, 300 total sub-folders, and no more than 15K files. The odd thing is that the head unit will see every file on the drive, but all except for the very first folder become grayed out and inaccessible. (see image) Sure no one needs 15K songs but since I have a bunch I typically just leave everything set to random play so I should never hear the same track twice. On the USB stick, I've since had to cull the collection and drop all the songs into a single folder to get it to function how I wanted.One more note: The "random/mix" button is a virtual touch screen control (not one of the physical buttons) and it is hidden by default so you have to expand a sub-menu to find it. Minor inconvenience but worth noting if you have years of "random button" muscle memory built up.One feature needed is a face mounted auxiliary port. If I had that all of my other issues would be negated.The installation was only a pain due to my specific vehicle (Dodge Challenger) and me wanting to retain my steering wheel control functions which required several additional components to wire in to the vehicle between the vehicle harness and the radio. Once connected everything worked like a charm.It's not a bad radio by any means, it's just not what I misunderstood it to be.It's probably perfectly fine for just about everyone else.

In a friends truck who also purchased this radio so I sent bypass module back the Bluetooth signal has the strongest range out of any of my devices it also has hands free calling it even has phone dial pad on the touch screen very easy install I was afraid to install it myself but it was easy when i did it

I recently put in a whole new sound system into my genesis coupe. Took me a long time to figure out which head unit to buy and I watched a lot of YouTube videos. Compared to other head units at this price (kenwood and the like) I noticed that this had the most responsive touch screen in the videos. Operations would happen almost instantly while it took other units a second or two to display. I’m happy to report that this was the case IRL as well. This is a very responsive touch screen and has all the customization options I had hopped for. Subwoofer settings, speaker levels, listening positions, it’s all there! The Bluetooth works flawlessly; it connects automatically to my phone and starts playing Spotify right off the bat. There’s also a DVD player built in if you want to watch a movie or play from a CD.

The only con I can think of is that background customization is limited. But that’s being nit picky! Plus you have rgb lighting to make up for it, which you have a huge range of colors to choose from.

If I could change anything about this it would be to add a volume knob instead of having buttons, but I’ve gotten used to them pretty quickly!

All in all this is a great choice if you’re in the market for a new head unit.

For reference, I’ve got 4 alpine type S speakers with a ported 10” sub. Sounds amazing.

Very solid, affordable, double din touchscreen. I haven't used the video so I cant speak on that feature, but, the screen and graffics appeare very crisp. The touch is instant as well, 0 lag in the system. I mostly got this unit for the tuning capabilities. My stock system (shaker 500) had the basic "high, mid, low" which was garbage. With this deck I was able to fine tune the highs, mids, and lows, as well as the factory subwoofers. Imo the in deck filtering capabilities couldnt be better on this unit. It truly transformed my sound system. I'm so happy infact I'm no longer going to go all out and build a full aftermarket sound system. (Ateast for awhile) I give this unit a 10/10 for the pricing and tuning capabilities. As said before tho, I cant speak on the video features, so, 4 solid stars from me.

I am enjoying my car radio and so far I am happy with my purchase. It was installed by a radio tech who installs radios and alarms in cars. When it was first installed however I had to take it back because it did not come on after starting the car. I had a black screen. Tech did a reset (button located to the bottom left on the front) and I have not had that issue since so, so far it's good. My only thing is it does not play MP4 videos so I have to find another video format so my passengers can watch music videos. **UPDATE: MP4 & AVI video formats do not play on this car radio. The radio supports 3GP video format. I play my videos from the USB. DVD Movies play perfect from the disc. Lovely quality as well.

Since this was going in my truck it also offered the option of the backup camera which I also bought separately. That being said this was the perfect option for what I wanted. This deck has plenty of power, Bluetooth has been working flawlessly, and the backup camera works great as well. I was going to add an amp but after the install decided against it since this deck has more power that my factory option and the sound is so customizable with the equalizer, it makes it really easy to tailor the sound you are after. The cost of this deck is fair and the quality seems to be good as well. I would recommend to anyone wanting to update the old factory stereo to one with more power and the addition of Bluetooth.

I purchased this unit access a tailgate latch camera for my Ford 2005 F-150. The recommend wiring harness and unit support attachment worked fine.The installation guide appeared on first glance appeared brief,but gave sufficient information to install.The hardest part for me was to access the connector and wire to attach the green wire to the parking brake switch, if you want to view the video portion of a dvd.The sound can be heard without connection.I found best access by removing the panel below the steering wheel(2screws) and the pop out panel on left of dash facing door( has opening for vent.Trying to unplug connector was hardest part.Access to wire(green/white stripped) easiest through side panel.My only complaint was USB connection not compatible with IPod classic,found references stating that acknowledged by pioneer. My solution was to use Bluetooth using Nolan TX 3:5 mm generic Bluetooth wireless adapter for iPod.Downside is that cannot get song display or control from unit.No problem if set iPod for playlist or album.Upside you don’t have to mess with USB cord ( did install a dash mount USB connector in dash to left of cigarette lighter panel - from amazon Very pleased with results
