The FSX65-4 is a powerful 6.5-inch, 4 Ohm, pro audio mid-range loudspeaker. Featuring a vented back plate design for increased thermal cooling, as well as a high temperature 1.5-inch copper voice coil, this speaker is capable of operating at the loudest volumes very efficiently. Conservatively at 150 watts RMS power, and 300 watts max power, the FSX65 features an impressive 21 oz ferrite magnet, which provides the driving force behind the crisp and clear sound that is output by these speakers. Kia K5 2012 SX OEM Infinity

For the price, this mini subs are heavy and well constructed. Don't know why Amazon said this was a fit for my Optima 2012, they do fits the door speaker's opening but the screw holes are a different pattern (thanks Kia). A quick fix was using a wood screw to drill new holes and after an hour of hand drilling and blessing Kia for the marvelous idea of having a proprietary speaker hole pattern and also to use the Exact length of wire, I managed to have this connected. My OEM head unit is the Infinity without NAV,nothing else. This subs are a great replacement, the bass was managed by the OEM Kia crossover so only low-range was feed. Great for the price, way much better than the cheapo speakers that Kia wanted $375 for OEM replacement (lol!). Have you see the size of the Skars!? The magnet is huge! Don't why so many people review this below 4 stars, maybe their set up does not have a crossover or are using this as midrange or above. The bass is notable better than OEM infinity, I think they can handle more power but I'm going to use it for a few weeks at a normal volume to breaking in properly. If everything goes as planed, then I'll have the rears done, the dash mids and a maybe replace the OEM factory rear subwoofer with a small amp. Skar have me very impressed. If something happens (good or bad) I'll update this review but so far so good. $39 best expended ever!!

Update - a year later and still impressed with the quality of this subs.

Love these speakers. Have used them in multiple applications have to make holes for the speakers to screw in, but that’s cake work. Sounds so clear and good. Ordered some for my 94 f150 sold it and bought more for my 97 k1500, skar’s 4x6’s are good too! Loud with built in tweeters.

I started with a set of FSX65-4 300-Watt 6.5-Inch 4 Ohm MID-Range Loudspeakers in the rear doors of my Avalanche for mid range. I run JBL GTO 6.5 components in the front doors and a 6.5 Skar EVL as my sub woofer. Loved the system so much I used the pretty much the same set up in my 2000 Silverado. I put the FSX65's in the rear seat kick as the back doors have 4x6 speakers and can't take the power I wanted. Again I run the JBL's in the front doors and built a center console with two Skar 6.5" EVL Subs in the base of it. For Country and Rock it is the cats meow and I could not ask for better sound at 3 times the cost. With heavy bass tunes it will move the mirrors and glass while still playing the mids and highs fantastic. Honestly cost was not a factor for either build as I keep my rigs forever so I don't mind spending money on them. Thanks to Skar Audio I got a great system at a fantastic price.
