I am a professional designer. I have never run into such crappy assembly instructions. I may be able to figure this thing out but it is definitely not worth the grief. It would not be hard to assemble with reasonable instructions and pictures showing exactly what parts you are expected to use. Rather than a crappy youtube animation. Instructions look cool on the surface but the parts in the bags do not match the instructions and they call out a M5 nut when there are three different M5 nut types and each is significantly different. I have to say the parts seem to be of high quality, just I am not in the mood to reverse engineer a pile of parts and figure out how they are supposed to go together.

Not a kit for someone not willing to do a bit of tweaking before having a working 3D printer. It's a DIY kit.

It took me a good weekend to build the printer, struggling with the instructions (both the paperwork included and the video) before I could get the printer running.
Had to flash replacement firmware provided by HE3D to get it to move correctly, including erasing the EEPROM settings. Even the firmware provided was bugged, causing the extruders to move backwards, requiring an edit of the Configuration.h file in the source code to get it working.

In the end, things seem to work pretty well, just needs a bit of tweaking to get good.

Note that this is a clone of the Tevo Tarantula and as such most homemade upgrades that fit a Tarantula will fit this unit.

Original review was made June 2019; dropped a star thinking back after parting it out and making a better printer.
