Offering a smaller footprint that will take up less space on your boat, the Humminbird HELIX 9 G3N provides anglers with access to the best technology to help them find and locate fish and fish-holding structure. From the map-making power of AutoChart Live and the built-in Humminbird Basemap to networking options with Bluetooth and Ethernet connectivity, this third-generation fish finder makes the most of every inch and every second.

HELIX 9 Models

All models feature Dual Spectrum CHIRP sonar, precision GPS, Humminbird Basemap, Bluetooth and built-in AutoChart Live, providing the ability to create custom depth contour maps in real time.

The HELIX 9 G3N is available in multiple configurations, including models with Humminbird's MEGA Side Imaging+ and MEGA Down Imaging+ sonar.

All of Humminbird's fish finders include a transducer, except for a Control Head Only (CHO) model with MEGA Down Imaging+. This model is a great fit for those looking to select their own accessory transducer or pair with a Minn Kota trolling motor with Built-in MEGA Down Imaging.

Bluetooth and Networking Connectivity

Built-in Bluetooth connectivity can sync smartphone notifications with the HELIX and display them on the fish finder's screen, allowing you to keep your phone out of the water and in your pocket. High-speed Ethernet networking enables you to easily connect multiple Humminbird fish finders, or upgrade to add-on technologies like Minn Kota i-Pilot Link, 360 Imaging, and CHIRP Radar (sold separately).

Premium Mapping Options

HELIX G3N models are compatible with optional Humminbird LakeMaster and LakeMaster Plus digital maps (sold separately), which provide detailed contours, highlighted depth ranges and adjustable water levels.

They're also compatible with Humminbird SmartStrike (sold separately), which combines high-definition LakeMaster lake map data with extensive search algorithms to help you pattern and locate fish.

I purchased a Humminbird helix 9 mega gen 3 SI + DI. I contacted hummingbird to find out what mount I needed for my 1200.00 Terrova trolling motor. They gave me this part number for this bracket to mount my SI transducer to my terrova trolling motor. When I received it the transducer that came with my Humminbird unit would not fit the terrova Trolling motor. I called Humminbird and told them my problem. They then told me there was not a mounting bracket that would fit my terrova motor at all. So I am stuck with a 1500.00 unit and 1200.00 motor that will not let me mount the transducer to my trolling motor. So I am out the month consider that I bought the minnkota terrova with my boat 6 Months ago. Unless I make my own mounting bracket to to adapt the transducer to the motor. Shame on you minnkota and minnkota which are one company for not making an adapter to fit the transducer to the terrova i-Pilot trolling motor. But it’s all about money. You want everyone to buy a 3,000.00 motor to use you mega imaging.

I'm not like other captains who want to watch a "big TV screen" while fishing- large enough to see details clearly but small enough not to get in the way of navigating when sitting at the helm- and yes can still see it from the back of the boat. It performs well- if not used Humminbird before spend some time getting used to the menus (lots of You tube videos on maximizing you unit's function for your use). After you can navigate the menu's easily you'll get used to pushing a lot of buttons quickly but at first it is a pain (I see why the touchscreen has become popular even if they get pretty smudged up).
