Great chair, great price!

Great chair! I bought 2, one each for my aging parents with bad knees and hips. It lifts them all the way up, taking pressure off their knees, and also back down into a really relaxing reclining position, while raising their legs. Only 2 buttons, so nothing complicated to learn. Also has charger for phones or tablets, etc. Very easy assembly - just slide arms into sides, and back into slots behind seat. Two small tipping guards are screwed into bottom in back with wing nuts, so no tools needed. Make sure to put arms on first, or you'll have to remove the back to get them on. (Of course I learned that from experience.) The seller was very accommodating - I initially ordered light gray in error, but they changed them to the darker gray when I realized and contacted them. Altogether a really nice, sturdy, comfortable chair for a very good price.

Great Recliner for Mom!

I ordered the chair for my Mother who is frail and is barely walking. She’s 83 and is having trouble getting herself up off the couch.

This one’s assembly instructions were hidden underneath the seat so we assembled most of it without. The instructions aren’t clear anyway.

It arrived in 2 boxes one was a bit beat up with a gaping hole, everything inside was fine & no parts missing.

The fabric a bit thinner than expected but is nice enough and the chair very very comfortable, no lumps, bumps, or hard areas.

The remote has only 2 control buttons which is great for someone with dementia!

2 cup holders. One for coffee and the other for the TV remote, cellphone, or the remote for the chair.

Side pockets will hold the remote & thinner items.

USB port works and can be used to charge a cellphone.

It would be great If Google Mini had a USB port plug so I could place it near my Mom. Her voice is barely audible at times and has difficulty working the TV remote.

Might try Amazon ECHO to see if it is a bit more geriatric friendly.

The chair is lightweight enough for me to move it and padded enough for my frail, thin skinned Mom to be comfortable sitting on most of the day.

This chair is a perfect solution for her at a reasonable price. I am very happy with it.

I recommend it, but feel this chair is best suited for a small to medium size person.

I also recommend scotch-guarding it.
I bought a protective pad for the seat because while fabric seems ok it isn’t as thick as one would expect.

For the price it’s fine!

I purchased the chair in Dec. of 2019 for my then 89 year old mother. Chair worked great, was comfortable, and very reasonably priced. The only problem we encountered was that the movement of the chair base caused the nut on one of the bolts holding the base assembly together to work loose. It fell off while the chair was lifting causing the chair to collapse. Not a big deal except in the process it twisted and snapped the mounting point on the lift piston. I found Mcombo's web site and sent an email describing the issue. The chair was already out of warrantee but they offered me a replacement lift motor assembly at a very reasonable price. They created a private link on Amazon for the sale and there was no shipping cost. The unit arrived about 6 business days after I ordered it and took less than 30 minutes to install. Simple operation if you have some ability with tools and a basic wrench and socket set. I noticed some minor changes in the construction of the unit that added strength to the point where the original broke, so I can only assume I was not the only person to have this issue. But their customer service responded very quickly with zero reluctance. Oh, and the original issue of the nut coming loose was also dealt with using some liquid thread locker when I reassembled the unit. So I'd score the chair 3.5/4 stars for reliability and the customer service team 5+ stars for handling the issue with zero stress.

About two months following the death of my mother, I had foot surgery which required me to have no weight-bearing on that foot for six weeks. Fortunately, I had the lift chair that previously had been in my father's nursing home room, and then over to my mother's room before she passed away. Well, three days after my surgery and using that old lift chair, the back literally broke off and was unusable. I ordered the Mcombo lift chair on a Sunday evening and sent the company a request for expedited service due to my situation. The following morning at 2:48 am, they sent me a reply and at 3:33 am, the chair was shipped! This customer service is among the very best I have had (I'm 76 years old). The chair arrived within a few days, our grandson assembled it (very simple and easy), and it works fantastic! Looks great, works great, feels great. What's not to love in a lift chair with two cup holders and a USB recharge port from a company that actually understands that customer service is about the customer.

I was nervous after reading the negative reviews. But it thus far has exceeded my expectations. Bought this for my mother in law because she was moving into a new place. I put it together myself. I've never put furniture together before. But my husband was busy with many other things in getting his mother moved in, so I decided to go for it and help him out. Very simple assembly, everything snaps together. It's very sturdy and comfortable. It also helps my mother in law stand more easily. Only been using it a few weeks, but so far so good.

Update:

This chair is still in good shape and working well for my mother in law. Despite having a bed, she sleeps in this chair most of the time. It's been well worth the money.
