The seller got in touch with me following my negative review to see if anything could be done. While in the end, her solutions to my issues (such as the clock not working) were unsuccessful, I was impressed by the follow-up; it shows care for the product and the customer. Not sure I can change my mind about the head unit, but I can about the seller; they are wonderful.
Original Review:
I am somewhat tech savvy, and patient when it comes to technology know-how and troubleshooting---yet this head unit with its problems truly challenged my technological grace, so I must apologize for the length of this review. In case you don't make it to the end, allow me to list the issues which plague this product:
•Music track information does not display.
•Clock reverts to incorrect time, even when set correctly.
•Unit won't recall last volume settings, reverts to nearly mute upon restart.
•Touch screen volume is not very responsive.
•Menus filled with cringey translation typos, such as displaying "File no Found."
•Operation is laggy, like an iPhone 4.
•Handsfree call mic unusable, no way to add better one.
•Unit will not pair with Torque Bluetooth to monitor vehicle diagnostics.
•Unit will not track speed using built-in GPS.
•Sound occasionally blares at full blast for a second or cuts out.
•Process for downloading apps is frustratingly clunky and slow.
•Interface is strange and oundated (can be changed with app).
•Customer service reps are clueless in providing troubleshooting.
Having tunes in your car is a must, so when my old radio went out, I knew there was no more procrastination in getting a head unit. This one caught my eye because, well, I'm cheap. And it seemed the reviews weren't terrible. I figured "How bad can it be?" The answer is, "Pretty bad."
My first interaction with customer service came when I had to ask for the manual which wasn't included. They responded very promptly with those instructions; however, it seems that's all they know how to do well (and why many reviewers thought the service was good), because as soon as I asked actual questions about the product, their responses became slower and less helpful. When I did hear back it was of annoyingly simple steps I'd already done, such as "Try restarting the unit" or "Turn the Bluetooth off and on."
Installation asked of an afternoon. My vehicle, a 2001 Toyota Tundra, already had a wire harness, so I simply had to connect those wires to this new harness. I would recommend using crimp connectors rather than wire nuts as they'll hold up to the road vibrations. Placement in the dash required a lot of finessing of the factory brackets, but no trimming. One positive aspect I can point out is that this screen truly updates the look of a vehicle into a more modern aesthetic. Still, what good are looks if it's just for show?
I don't need the backup camera, so I can't attest to such functionality. I also have not tried mirroring my phone directly via the USB cable yet. The only thing that seems to work on this Android head unit is playing music, and even that is iffy. I'm still waiting for customer service to provide me actual solutions, and in the meantime I urge you to spend a little more and get a head unit that works. While I likely have too much time invested in this one to turn back now, it's not too late for you.

update: If you put the reverse camera plug in the back of the radio you will get better Bluetooth and Wi-Fi reception. I couldn't go 2 ft from the car without it breaking up and now I can walk 30 ft away and it's still fine with the plug plugged in. It appears that the small blue wires are some sort of antenna. I also added a reverse camera and it is amazing! The reverse trigger wire on the back of the radio which I believe is pink goes to the positive wire on the reverse bulb.
Cons. You get what you paid for
Bluetooth connections is terrible.
Plays nothing but radio stations.
Not very satisfied with this product.
