About this item
- [Replacement For Official Nintendo Switch Dock] This dock is only 48g(1.7 oz), which is much more portable and lightweight than official switch dock, ideal replacement for taking out anywhere. Same amount of ports for USB controllers and HDMI ports for TV.
- [Never Scratch Your Switch Screen & Overheat] The official dock is a RISK for scratching the screen even with a screen protector, but now ikedon solve this problem with unique design. The console sits on top of the unit instead of sliding into the Switch docking station avoiding overheat.
- [One-touch Display Switching] Switch with one-touch button between the host and the TV display interface with 4K HDMI port. Note: To play and charge at the same time, you need a 15V/2.6A power supply (NOT INCLUDED).
- [Adjustable Play Angles] 3 angles allows you to play your Nintendo Switch at the best viewing angle for different environments.
- [Won't Sliding Around] The anti-slip base design prevents it from sliding around or falling over by accident.

Things to note:
1. The placement design of the switch button is a bit odd. When placed in the dock, the button to transfer to the TV is BEHIND the switch console. You have to lift the switch up or reach behind the console to turn it on and it might not be ideal for young/clumsy users.
2. Switching between console and TV use: at least for mine, it hesitates for a few seconds before being displayed on the TV. It's not a big deal for us, but a noticeable delay.
3. I took the advice of others before me and am using the original Nintendo ac adapter that came with the switch paired with this device. I've only used it once so far but I've not encountered any problems. I did purchase a 3rd party ac adapter for my original dock and my daughter hasn't reported any issues.
4. Once docked it does not immediately switch to the TV like the original dock, hence the switching button, and can be used as a display/holder/ charging station. It has a rubber mat on the bottom to help with sliding. I have not noticed any heating issues just yet, but again, I've only used it once.
5. The entire dock is very small and is smaller than a cell phone, so it can easily be packed up and transported. You will need to purchase an HDMI cord for this as well because it doesn't come with one and is necessary to hook up to the TV for displaying. I'm using an Amazon brand one and it seems work well enough so far.
This one works great and has a very small footprint.
VERY portable for travel, holds up well without fearing you will snap the front shield on the OEM one.
Have brought it with me on many trips to hook up in hotel and no issues at all.
Definitely recommend
I did take a star off for having one of those bright blue LEDs that's impossible to sleep through if it's visible from your bed. Having to either put my Switch in my real dock or having to unplug the charger is a pain in the ass, and a toggle would've been welcome. Remember that bright AF white LED on the Wii U when you leave a disc in that required the modding scene to fix? This is about on the same level. Not personally a deal breaker, but it may be for some, and I'd be a liar if I pretended it doesn't annoy me sometimes.
<EDIT 9/21/2020> After a rather long period of use, I felt I'd update my review to acknowledge the fact that the dock still works 100% as well as it did when I bought it. It has not malfunctioned in any way, bricked my Switch, or given my any hiccups. The only issue is because of the open nature of the design, dust will accumulate on your Switch's screen if you aren't playing it regularly, but again, because of the design, that's kinda unavoidable (and probably why Nintendo designed the dock the way they did). Honestly, the tiny size makes it stupid easy to take with me, more so than the regular dock, and the real use of the thing has been keeping the dock hidden under a table hooked up for easy discreet hookup to my TV or couch access from under the coffee table. Lazy mode! But yeah, this dock makes that possible while also not being total Chinese knock off sheepdip. Would still recommend, and will still rip a new one if it bricks my Switch or craps out inside the next 3 months (which I have no reason to suspect will happen).
Its a pretty significant annoyance which is really keeping me from doing a solid endorsement. I love the form factor and the portability. Image quality seems to be really solid too. However, this issue with the sound is really a problem, at least for the unit I have.
It was almost a perfect dock alternative. But I can't give it a full endorsement with this significant of an issue with the sound.
Update: When I contacted the seller about my issues they acknowledged the problem which I thought was positive. However, they offered to send me a new one only if I removed my initial review. Thus email exchange did not seem to come from the sellers official account either. I feel like this is a really shady business practice and probably why their reviews are so high for an obviously faulty product. I've stopped using it cause I keep getting the same issues I've had before and do not want to risk bricking my switch. Look for the Genki dock instead if you want a trustworthy alternative.
