Worked great! The picture is the hair from half of my leg (it's winter lol). I've never used an epilator before, takes awhile and I needed to change the direction depending on the hair and you need to do it in small sections but it works and feels just like what it is... Multiple tweezers pulling hair. Love it!
I have very light white skin (see: vampire) and very dark black hair, namely in embarrassing places like my chin, parts of my chest, and navel. I've basically never worn bikinis because even if I shave, it looks and feels like I have 5 o'clock shadow all over. My skin is pretty sensitive to shaving and Nair, and I tried waxing but couldn't handle it and don't like the clean-up (and I don't have the bucks for laser just yet). I'd heard of epilators but lasted a long time shaving and hand plucking the visible stuff, and just never wearing shorts. Lately, though, that hasn't been cutting it anymore -- I want to be in control and have fun with my body. Enter epilator. I'm so, so, SO glad I bought this, I could cry. The medium speed feels exactly like plucking sped up. Where waxing just rips it all out at once, I can go at my own pace with this. Will it take a bit longer til I get used to it? Yeah, but it's MUCH faster than plucking and so, so worth having that control. Honestly, when I do it a little at a time the pain is really negligible anyway, and it's only going to get better the more I use it!
I didn't want to spend a fortune just to realize I hated it, but I'm so pleased with how this works for the price. Came out of the box charged and didn't seem to lose any charge for the good hour I played with it testing it on everything. Haven't tried any of the other heads yet but after the epilator I'm sure they'll be great! (And I'll update my review if not.) If you're in a situation like mine, definitely give this a try. I feel like I finally have a little hope in that department again, I won't be able to shut up about this for a long time. 😊
First let me say.... NO I am NOT torturing my cats by ripping out their fur. What I mean is, as I am using it, the sound it makes agitates them to the point that they start attacking nearby things including me and each other. One cat started attacking a nearby chair leg, just swatting and hissing at it, until I turned the device off. So I make sure to shut myself in the spare room when I need to use it.
That being said, it removes hair well and without too much effort unless you let your hair grow more than 1/8" between uses. If you aren't used to epilators - YES - there will be discomfort. You are, after all, ripping hair out at the root. I don't find it to be painful when used on either legs or arms after exfoliating the area and/or taking a warm shower to help loosen up the hair follicles. Armpits and bikini area.... still not very pleasant. I'm not gonna lie. Just Grit your teeth and get it over with.
Not recommended for: "first shave of bikini season," those who have just decided to give up a bohemian lifestyle, those just rescued from a deserted island, Survivor cast members. Follow the directions and you'll be hair-free in no time.
I'm a cis woman who happens to have an embarrassingly thick and noticeable amount of neck/chin hair, enough that young children will point it out and adults are too polite or afraid to ask me about it directly, so I've been super self conscious for YEARS. Waxing has mixed results for me, as sometimes I can get most of the hair while other times hardly any comes off, still having to tweeze for an hour regardless, and even still having to wax again every other week. I was at my wit's end until I found out about epilators. Boy does this little baby work! It does have a bit of a learning curve and is super nervewracking to use at first, it's gonna jerk and kick when it grabs the hairs, but once you get a feel for it this thing is a /breeze/. It works SIGNIFICANTLY better than waxing ever has for me, and much quicker/less painful too. It's gonna hurt no matter what, but I think the fact that this only yanks on the hair rather than the entire patch of skin makes it less painful overall, and way better for my skin. Highly recommend for anyone else that's got thick beard-like hair and is looking for a solution to keep it away longer!
I love the foot sander. Im obsessed. My feet have never been so soft. I do worry how long it's going to run. It doesn't seem super durable. The other two are ok. The shaver is painful. I didn't think it pulled hair to shave but this is clearly lower quality. And i cannot figure out where the hair is going. Finally, the epilator works, but you have to rub it over the same area at least 5 times. I think you get what you pay for and i shouldve bought 1 great product, rather than 3 so-so products in one.
Waste of money! I bought it to replace my old one that I had for 5 years. First, this one is so weak, after 30 minutes of trying the epilator head, it barely made any difference (and my legs aren't that hairy to begin with). The speed settings are for the birds. Second, when I took the shaving head out it was sticky and it had someone else's hair on it. Gross and unacceptable for the company to ship used personal hygiene products! The only reason I'm not returning it is because I don't want someone else to get a dirty product. Shame on you!
This shaving head worked well for both me and my husband. I have a high tolerance for pain but my husband does not. While using it on him, he said there was no pulling or tugging of his hair; no stubble or nicks either. And there was zero razor burn on either of us the next day. Even our four year old used the shaving head on him and he had zero complaints. The callus remover is quite effective. I'm one of those people who walk outside barefoot, so my calluses have their own zip code. It took some time, but I was able to dig through. If the grinding unit was more coarse the process would have been faster. However, it worked like a charm for the calluses on the palm of my hands (from lifting weights). I still have yet to use the epilator, but I pluck and sometimes wax my eyebrows, so I figure it might be the same pain tolerance. Overall great product. You get three tools for the price of one AND no batteries to have to deal with.
I bought this product because of the reviews and it seemed a good value for money. Big mistake! I’m Not a hairy person at all and the few hairs I have it was not able to remove even I passed the device several times. A big waste of money. If what you want is a product that removes your hair. DO NOT BUT THIS product!
