Privacy Policy

Last updated

This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit tenbest.deals (“TenBest,” “we”), why, and the choices you have.

Who is responsible

The data controller for this website is Ten Best. You can contact us about privacy at [email protected].

What we collect ourselves

Very little. TenBest has no user accounts, comments, newsletters or contact forms. Apart from the visitor statistics and the ads described below, we don’t track you.

If you email us, we use your email address and your message only to reply and handle your request, and we keep them only as long as that takes.

Server and security logs

To deliver pages and keep the site secure, our hosting provider and Cloudflare, the network that delivers and protects our site, process technical data such as your IP address, the date and time of your visit, the page requested, your browser type and the referring page. This data is used only to run the site, fix problems and prevent abuse, and it’s kept for a limited time. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.

Visitor statistics (StatCounter)

We use StatCounter, a web analytics service, to count visits and see which pages people read. On each page view, StatCounter records the date and time, your IP address, browser, operating system, screen resolution, the referring link and the page you’re viewing.

StatCounter also uses cookies to tell first-time visitors from returning ones: a cookie on our site (sc_is_visitor_unique, a random ID kept for up to two years) and a cookie on statcounter.com (is_unique, kept for up to five years). We look at these statistics only in aggregate, to understand how the site is used; we don’t use them to identify you or to target ads. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring how the site is used.

You can refuse StatCounter’s cookies on StatCounter’s opt-out page, which applies to every site that uses StatCounter, or block cookies in your browser. StatCounter’s legal and privacy page and cookie information have more details.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

Our guide pages show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and prevent fraud.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or to other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google in My Ad Center. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info in the US, or at youronlinechoices.eu in Europe.
  • Google explains how it uses information from websites that show its ads in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Even if you opt out of personalized ads, you may still see ads, based for example on the page you’re reading or your general location.

Your choices

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before cookies are used for personalized advertising, through a consent message provided by Google, a certified consent management platform under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the “Privacy choices” link at the bottom of our guide pages.

Depending on where you live in the United States, you may have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. We don’t sell personal information for money. You can limit personalized ads at any time through My Ad Center, the opt-out tools above or your browser’s cookie settings.

Blocking or deleting cookies doesn’t stop you from reading anything on TenBest.

International transfers

Google, Cloudflare and StatCounter may process data in the United States and in other countries. When personal data from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland is transferred outside those areas, it is protected by safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses, where these apply.

Your rights

If the GDPR or a similar law applies to you, you have the right to access your personal data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time without affecting processing that has already taken place. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Residents of some US states have similar rights to know, correct and delete personal information.

To make a request, email [email protected].

Children

TenBest is meant for adults and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children.
